Articles

The introduction of tools for creating articles makes it possible to create and publish editorial content to DigitaltMuseum. Articles consist of two main sections; the head and the body/content.

  • The animation describes how to create a new article.

Creating an article

In the dashboard, click the large button labeled "New Content +" and choose "Article" in the list. Fill out the title and the description and click "Save".

  • An animation showing how to create an article head.

Article Head

The article head consists of a large cover photo, a title, a byline and a preamble. Simply upload a photo and set is as the cover, define a title and byline and write the preamble.

Article Body

The content of the article may consist of any combination of the three buidling blocks; text, media and DigitaltMuseum. Please refer to the individual description of these blocks below. The text block may be used to insert paragraphs of texts. The media block may be used to insert grids or slideshows of photos. The DigitaltMuseum block may typically be used to insert one or more objects, links to folders or exhibitions or any other content already published on DigitaltMuseum.

Adding a location to an article

In order to add a location, open the article settings by clicking the three dotted icon at the top of the page. Switch to the "Places"-tab and start typing in a place or an address. The article will now be shown in the map as well as the places filter in the search.

Publishing an article

To publish your article, click the arrow next to the "Save" button in the top right corner and select "Save and Publish". Your article will be published as an object to the collection of the museum you represent when you logged in. Please keep in mind that there may be a delay of several minutes before your article is searchable in DigitaltMuseum.
