Create your own search box/widget/results list.

You can create your own search box/widget/results list and add it to your own website. You can then choose whether the search will be performed within the entire DigitaltMuseum or within one individual museum, decide how the search box/results list will be displayed on your website, and add your own predefined search.

Via the API, you can retrieve data from DigitaltMuseum in JSON and XML formats and build your own search pages, displays, or integrations with other systems.

Who can get access?
Museums and other organizations with an active agreement for using DigitaltMuseum can be assigned an API key.

How to apply
Read the documentation for the API so you know what it can be used for.

• Log in to the KulturIT support portal and fill out the form for API access. Specify which organization the access applies to and what the data will be used for.
• We will process the application and send the API key to the designated contact person.

Terms of use
The API key is linked to your organization and must not be shared with others. When using data and images from DigitaltMuseum, you must comply with the license that applies to each individual object and credit the museum as the source.
